Your Expertise in Platform Engineering and AWS
We’re seeking a Senior Software Engineer with proven expertise in AWS cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code. You will lead the design and implementation of highly automated systems, ensuring optimal performance and rapid delivery through GitHub Actions, AWS CodeBuild, and AWS CDK.
In this role, you’ll need to demonstrate in-depth knowledge of AWS services like Lambda, EC2, S3, and CloudWatch. Your ability to automate infrastructure with AWS CDK and implement observability practices will be key in maintaining system reliability and scalability. You’ll will aid in the ownership of our Platform Engineering strategy, ensuring that every aspect of the deployment pipeline is fast, secure, and automated.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
1. Lead the Platform Engineering and CI/CD Strategy – Design and implement advanced CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, and CodeBuild, ensuring the highest standards of automation and security.
2. AWS CDK and Infrastructure as Code (IAC) – Take charge of our IaC strategy, using AWS CDK to automate cloud resource management with best-in-class practices for scalability and security.
3. AWS Cloud Expertise – Architect, build, and manage complex cloud solutions that leverage the full power of AWS, including Lambda, EC2, S3, and IAM, ensuring maximum reliability and performance.
4. Observability and Monitoring– Implement comprehensive observability solutions, enabling as close to near real-time monitoring, alerting, and logging with tools like CloudWatch and Grafana.
5. Technical Mentorship and Leadership – Collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentoring colleagues and driving the adoption of best practices in Platform Engineering, cloud infrastructure, and automation.
6. High-Impact Delivery – Deliver features at scale, ensuring that every deployment is fast, secure, and frictionless, while continuously seeking ways to improve delivery pipelines.
Knowledge, Skills, Training & Experience
7. AWS (Lambda, EC2, S3, IAM, CloudWatch) – Architect and manage cloud-native solutions that are scalable, secure, and resilient, using AWS services at the highest level of expertise.
8. AWS CDK (Cloud Development Kit) – Lead the automation of infrastructure with AWS CDK, ensuring all resources are provisioned and managed through code, following best practices for IaC.
9. GitHub Actions – Drive the creation and refinement of CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions to automate testing, building, and deployment processes.
10. AWS CodeBuild – Optimize our CI/CD systems to ensure rapid, reliable, and secure releases of infrastructure and application updates.
11. Observability and Monitoring – Leverage tools like CloudWatch, Grafana, and InfluxDB to monitor, observe, and tune systems for peak performance and rapid incident resolution.
