My Client is looking for passionate Senior Chemical Process Engineers (with experience of working within the nuclear sector in the UK), to join their supportive team, where you will primarily be responsible for developing process engineering deliverables to support the delivery of capital projects in the nuclear sector.
You’ll be part of an enthusiastic and committed team of Engineers and Designers working to deliver high quality output on projects.
What you will do
1. Provide engineering services design and consultancy work on behalf of Client under the direction of the line manager or process lead.
2. Lead small process teams to deliver a project for a client. On smaller projects act as the role of process lead (i.e. responsibility for organising the whole project process team). On larger projects act as a section lead (i.e. responsibility for organising a small part of the project process team).
3. Produce process engineering design deliverables (including PFDs, P&IDs, heat and mass balance calculations, datasheets, specifications, schedules, calculations)
4. Contribute to safety reviews and other risk assessment
5. Checking of process deliverables to ensure engineering designs meet appropriate quality and compliance controls, project brief and customer requirements.
6. Reviewing vendor quotations and liaising with equipment and package vendors
7. Utility system specification, design, and capacity evaluation
8. Checking of piping design documents, including checking isometrics and layout drawings
About You
1. Demonstrable experience of design and engineering in the nuclear sector
2. Degree in Chemical Engineering
3. Security Clearance for working in the UK nuclear sector (if not already held, will need to be applied for if successful).
Highly desirable
1. Chartered engineer status
2. Experience in the nuclear fuel handling sector
