Job Summary
Working as part of a multi-skilled Forge Crew.
Key Objectives of the Role
1. H&S – Work in a safe and responsible manner and within FSG procedures. (For own and other people’s safety)
2. Ensure ALL Quality procedures and processes are followed.
3. Pre-shift checks as specified; for example: FLT, Hoist, Crane, etc.;
4. Housekeeping (5s duties).
5. Conduct preventative maintenance checks.
6. Operate 5600T press and supporting roles within the cell which include:
1. Operating the Andromat;
2. Control room (furnace and forge management);
3. Pyrometry checks;
4. Carry out visual and dimensional checks on forgings and hard mark with identification;
5. Working 1500T knockdown / trim and punch operations;
6. Building dies and tooling for 5600T and 1500T presses;
7. Ensure furnaces are loaded correctly with control plans completed;
7. Training also to be given the 900T and 3000T presses.
The Applicant:
1. Experience of working in a forging/pressing environment would be beneficial.
2. Must be flexible, willing to work across different roles and shift patterns.
3. Familiar with Microsoft Office / Computer control systems.
4. Worked in a medium to heavy factory environment.
5. Have worked in a fast-paced and busy environment.

1. Forklift Counterbalance Truck Training.
2. Overhead Crane Training.
3. First Aid Training.
4. Fire Warden Training.
5. Working in Confined Spaces Training.
6. Confined Space Rescue Training.
7. Working at Height Training.
8. Work at Height Rescue Training.
