We are currently seeking a professional and reliable HGV Removal Driver to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role will be to carry out the recovery of enforced vehicles as directed by the Pound Manager, ensuring efficient and courteous service. You will also assist with VED enforcement and support other business contracts involving vehicle lifting and removal. Key Responsibilities: Recover vehicles and transport them back to the car pound as directed. Assist with the instant removal of untaxed vehicles in line with VED enforcement. Provide cover for other driving staff during periods of absence, including driving ANPR vehicles. Interact with the public in a courteous manner and provide advice on VED issues and enforcement procedures. Report any damage caused during vehicle removal and complete necessary documentation. Perform daily walk-around checks and ensure the proper use and maintenance of company equipment. Safely load vehicles and use lifting gear such as spec and dolly wheels. Adhere to all relevant driving regulations, including driving hours and work time directives. Collect aged vehicles as per contract guidelines. What You’ll Need: Ability to lift vehicles using a HIAB. Strong communication skills, particularly in challenging customer interactions. Basic report-writing skills and experience using handheld computers and apps. Excellent customer service skills. Knowledge of HGV driving regulations, the Highway Code, and driver CPC. Valid HGV driving licence with the appropriate entitlement. Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) is essential. What’s in it for you?
