RCGPNI are recruiting a Policy & Public Affairs Coordinator to support the planning and delivery of RCGPNI policy, public affairs, campaigning, and communications functions, including setting up and attending external events which necessitates a driving licence and access to a vehicle when required. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a wide variety of experiences including the ability to conduct secondary research, provide editorial support, deliver effective campaigns and provide excellent coordination skills in organising external meetings. Experience in effectively handling media enquiries and maintaining a vibrant social media presence is also required. The candidate must also have access to a vehicle. Reporting to the Policy and Public Affairs Manager, key responsibilities will include the provision of effective external communication to key stakeholders and the media, maintaining a vibrant social media presence, monitoring and reviewing developments within the healthcare sector, provision of comprehensive secondary research and editorial support in the development of briefing papers and policy documents, co-ordination of external policy meetings and College representation at local conferences and stakeholder events. Educated to degree level or equivalent, the successful candidate will be a natural team player with the ability to work of own initiative.
