Job summary Two year apprenticeship as a Trainee Pharmacy Technician We are offering a fantastic opportunity for a cross sector training placement in both Primary Care and Community Pharmacy settings. We are currently seeking an Apprentice - Trainee Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic team and develop their skills across both sectors. This exciting role will offer you the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and receive comprehensive training, all while working alongside experienced pharmacy professionals dedicated to your career development. Year 1 will be paid at a rate of £10.52 /hr, not dependant on experience. As a Trainee Cross-Sector Pharmacy Technician, you will receive on-the-job training. Your training will consist of 40% of your week at Priory Medical Group in a primary care setting, 40% of your week at Mills Pharmacy in the community setting and 20% of your week at study. You will be enrolled onto the Buttercups pharmacy technician programme to support your learning. This is a 24-month course, and following successful completion of this you will be able to register with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacy Technician. You will be involved in assisting with medication management, dispensing, and patient care, learning how to make a positive impact on patient outcomes while working within a supportive team. Main duties of the job - Assist in the dispensing of prescriptions accurately, ensuring high standards of care in both community and primary care pharmacy settings - Support medication management processes, including medication reviews and clinical assessments, under the supervision of qualified professionals - Help manage repeat prescriptions and assist with the preparation of chronic condition management plans - Provide advice to patients on the safe use of their medications, ensuring adherence and understanding. Assist in maintaining accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality is upheld.
