An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Mental Health Nurse (Band 6) to join the Stewartry Community Mental Health Nursing Team on a permanent basis. This is a post in which the successful candidate will work with people who present with moderate to severe mental health issues. The post holder will provide assessment, support, advice and interventions to support people to recover and work towards sustained wellbeing and self management.
The post holder will work closely with patients and carers and will link in with colleagues across the health and social care partnership and third and independent sector. Excellent communication skills, compassion and the ability to develop strong therapeutic working relationships is a vital part of this post.
The post holder must be able to demonstrate the skills and knowledge necessary to effectively work within a clinical team in order to support safe and effective clinical assessment for people who access our service. The ideal candidate will have experience working with people with a mental health disorder and must hold an active Registered Mental Health Nurse Qualification and NMC pin as demonstrated within the Personal Specification and Job Description.
The post holder will also be able to demonstrate strong leadership qualities and the ability to make effective clinical decisions in often pressured situations. This post will provide opportunity for personal development and growth in a friendly, experienced and supportive team. Full supervision, mentoring and training will be provided.
