Seeking a skilled Shift Engineer to maintain and optimize operations at a leading manufacturing site in Wolverhampton, where innovation meets excellence.

As a Shift Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting all engineering breakdowns, diagnosing faults, and replacing machine parts. You will also rectify hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical issues, enhance, repair, and maintain plant, equipment, and services within the manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support all engineering breakdowns, diagnose faults, and replace machine parts
* Rectify hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical issues
* Enhance, repair, and maintain plant, equipment, and services within the manufacturing facility
* Assist with the installation and commission of new machinery and equipment
* Involve in improvement projects during planned downtime and identify engineering solutions to maximise efficiency of the plant
* Maintain a relationship with plant and services contractors/suppliers and arrange for such suppliers to undertake engineering works
* Organise and maintain the technical database
* Order spares/consumables required to support engineering activities
* Work closely with Production, Tool Change, and Tool Room teams to effectively achieve the required engineering outcome
* Operate within key Engineering and Health & Safety codes
* Any other tasks as requested by Management
* Targets: Number of T Cards closed to target, scrap below set target, minimal machine downtime, planned maintenance and project work to be completed in cost and on time
Experience/Qualifications:
* 17th Edition Wiring Regulations
* Level 3 NVQ or Equivalent in Electrical/Mechanical or Multi Skilled Engineering
* GCSE Grade C and above or equivalent Maths and English
* Proven working knowledge of plant maintenance and repairs including: Hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems
* Able to read and understand electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings
* Able to work under pressure in a fast-growing business and meet tight deadlines
* Understanding of health and safety processes and safe methods of working
