Job Title: Asset Data Specialist Location: Hybrid working between our Falmer office and home Contract Type: Permanent Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday - Friday Salary: Up to £40,000 depending on skills and experience. Job Overview The Asset Data Specialist will play a critical role in developing, maintaining, and analysing asset data within Southern Water’s systems, ensuring compliance with asset data governance standards while maintaining accuracy and integrity. This role will focus on leveraging data analytics, automation, and reporting tools to monitor data quality, identify trends, and drive actionable insights for continuous improvement. About You We are keen to hear from candidates with experience in in statistical analysis, data quality and confidence measurement. You’ll enjoy working with complex data sets but be able to effectively summarise for stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be experienced in implementing asset management planning and analysis processes, and able to use Enterprise Asset Management Systems. Responsibilities will include: 55% Collection, validation and Maintenance of asset data in Southern Water asset data systems, ensuring consistency across all platforms. Reporting on asset data health and progress being made to improve data completeness and accuracy, analysing data trends and providing insight for decision making. Data cleansing, processing and verification on any new or updated asset data. 25% Maintaining asset data change management processes and monitor the effectiveness of Data Governance practices and adjusting these to remedy any issues. 20% Accountable for delivering awareness sessions to the business to ensure that asset data management is understood, asset and system data is valued by the business and to drive the right behaviours towards safeguarding data quality. Accountable for updating all processes to incorporate best-practice where applicable, to adjust for new types and sources of data and for responding to the impact of innovation in the business. Responsible for promoting Systems Thinking in relation to the governance of asset and system data. Package This role will be full time Monday to Friday with a hybrid approach to working between our office in Falmer (Brighton) 2-3 days per week, and working from home.
