Due to over 15 million pounds worth of investment in the last 18 months, we are looking for a mechanical maintenance engineer to enhance this busy engineering team.
The plant is currently working a Monday - Friday 2 shift pattern; however, this may move to a 3 shift pattern early 2025.
There's a wide range of CNC machines to test your technical knowledge, with both new and older machines. You will be providing both reactive and preventative maintenance services.

* Working hours are on a weekly shift rotation, no weekend working:
* Week 1: Mornings. Monday to Friday 06:00 - 13:40
* Week 2: Afternoons: Monday to Friday 13:35 - 21:15
* Week 3: Nights Monday - Thursday 21:10 - 06:00 (should they be introduced)
* Basic Salary £46,290 (Including Shift Allowance)
* 7% pension
* 25 days holiday plus bank holidays = 33 per year

The role of a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:
* Identify, plan, and implement continuous improvement ideas and projects
* Reports and maintains machinery breakdown / PPM status ref: PIRANA and a handover book, to ensure prompt attention and reduce waste
* Provide realistic time / cost estimates for completions of specific maintenance tasks
* To assist in the identification, sourcing, and purchasing of parts and equipment
Skills and Experience required to become a successful Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:
* Preferably a time-served apprentice-trained engineer
* Mechanical qualifications, level 3 minimum
* A sound understanding of mechanical maintenance aspects
* Experience working with CNC machines in a heavy industry environment
