Description
The Warehouse and Distribution Manager is responsible for all aspects of SeaChange’s multi-site inventory, fulfillment, shipping and logistics, and on-time delivery processes. The Warehouse and Distribution Manager will lead all people aspects including but not limited to hiring, training, coaching, and development of the Shipping and Receiving Department.

Essential Job Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities
1. Guide and lead all aspects of day-to-day multi-site warehouse and fulfillment operations to uphold exceptional levels of accuracy, safety, and team performance.
2. Drive team performance to improve on-time delivery, reduce ship errors, and improve ship team efficiency.
3. Create, document, and deploy internal processes to maximize team productivity for fulfillment, inventory, and shipping.
4. Lead, coach, and provide feedback on the inventory, fulfillment, mailing, shipping and logistics, and on-time delivery processes to drive operational excellence and consistent practices and standards across the team.
5. Effectively communicate strategies, results and metrics to the leadership team. Identify process improvements and work closely with cross-functional teams to make necessary adjustments.
6. Develop contract strategies and effectively negotiate with key suppliers.
7. Stay abreast of industry trends and implement cost, capacity, service, and sustainability objectives.
8. Effectively and independently identify solutions for future mergers and acquisitions including but not limited to ideal landscape for transportation of new product, SOP management, and inventory management of all new merchandise.
9. Develop, train, sustain and continually improve inventory management processes, assuring appropriate levels available, fulfilling WIP & Raw materials to equipment with accurate reporting for weekly and monthly planning.
10. Develop, train, sustain and continually improve fulfillment processes, assuring accurate storage, pick and pack, levels available with accurate reporting for weekly and monthly planning.
11. Develop, train, sustain and continually improve shipping and logistics processes including stretch-wrapping and labeling skids, packaging smaller items for UPS/FedEx/Courier as needed, scheduling common carriers for pickup (LTL and courier), routing deliveries on company truck, and preparation of all bills of lading, delivery receipts, and packing slips.
12. Develop, train, sustain and continually improve receiving processes to verify counts, descriptions and condition on incoming shipments and match packing slips; delivery to appropriate department, people or warehouse placement as appropriate.
13. Know, train, enforce and follow all safety rules. Complete daily forklift inspections and logs, training for forklifts, pallet jacks and warehouse best practices for safe storage.
14. Prioritize workload based on delivery requirements, labor and company needs by assigning tasks to department employees and supporting when needed.
15. Manage and meet on-time delivery goals by actively participating in production meetings and communicating expectations to team members along with reporting to management and CSR team.
16. Establish and perform quality control checks emphasizing accuracy.
17. Create department budgets and report performance.
18. Engage in continual training and personal development to learn new processes for increased efficiencies and recommend methods for improvement.
19. Responsible for overall general housekeeping in shipping and receiving areas.
20. Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications
1. Five or more years of warehouse and distribution management and proven experience leading fulfillment, shipping, and warehouse teams required.
2. Five or more years of inventory management and on-time delivery leadership experience required.
3. High School diploma/GED along with previous industry experience in shipping/receiving and inventory management.
4. Industry related mailing and print experience preferred.
5. Excellent communication and writing skills to appropriately interpret and relay production instructions.
6. Professional and proactive interaction with clients and internal clients is a key component of the position.
7. Must have background using Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams.
