Job Role - Maintenance Engineer Location - Hull Salary - £44,000 Shift Pattern - 4 on 4 off (DAYS ONLY) Due to recent growth, a leading manufacturing company based in Hull is looking to strengthen its engineering department with the appointment of a Maintenance Engineer. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of machinery and equipment at the site. Key Responsibilities of a Maintenance Engineer: Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on a variety of manufacturing equipment. Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults to minimize downtime. Work collaboratively with the production team to ensure equipment is running efficiently. Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety regulations. Participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance operational performance A Successful Maintenance Engineer will be: Qualified to a minimum of NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Proven experience working as a Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing environment. Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills across both mechanical and electrical systems. Knowledge of PLCs, pneumatics, and hydraulics is highly desirable, but not essential. A proactive and team-oriented approach to work.
