ROLE: Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant

Do you have experience working with SEN children and young people?
We are seeking caring, empathetic individuals who are passionate about supporting children with learning difficulties to excel in their education.
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support small groups of students and provide 1:1 support where required in the SEN Department of a Mainstream school.
Responsibilities:
* Providing emotional, social, and practical support to students with a range of social, emotional, learning, and behavioural needs
* Developing and implementing pastoral care plans for students
* Working with students in the SEN department and within mainstream lessons.
The ideal candidate will:
* Have experience working with children and young people in a pastoral/behavioural support role.
* Be confident working independently and as part of a wider team.
* Have the patience and confidence to de-escalate situations and manage challenging behaviour.
* Have knowledge of special educational needs.
* Be available full time (Monday – Friday 8:30am – 3pm).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
