Health Analytics Principal (Real World Evidence, Evidence Generation)
Location - London or Winchester (minimum 40% in-office time)
In 2020 LCP launched our Heath Analytics practice, providing analytical and research services for organisations across the life sciences and healthcare industries. Our team brings together clinicians, statisticians, epidemiologists, health economists, bioinformaticians and health data scientists alongside our established actuarial, analytics and technology teams to deliver new solutions for the fundamental challenges in health.
Our team’s mission is to help move health systems from importers of illness to exporters of health and to support our clients to deliver value to patients. We have already developed a track record for leading approaches to real world evidence generation, health economic modelling and innovative reimbursement design.
What's the role?
LCP’s Health Analytics team works across the healthcare and life sciences markets, combining health expertise with innovative approaches from our work in other sectors to tackle leading health issues. Examples of the types of projects that you will be working on include:
* Real world evidence and pharmacoepidemiology studies using electronic healthcare records, registries, biobanks and databases
* Developing cutting edge methods to help address the evidence needs of healthcare stakeholders including payers and health authorities
* Real world evidence strategy
* Innovative approaches to identifying and quantifying unmet need
As a Principal in Health Analytics, you will bring deep subject matter expertise (e.g. in epidemiology, RWE strategy, health data science) alongside excellent people leadership and client engagement skills.
This is a senior role and you will be part of the leadership team, helping to develop new service offerings and technology products, and providing support to the growing team.
What will you be doing?
As a Principal in LCP’s Health Analytics team your key responsibilities will be to:
Deliver excellent client service in existing service areas by;
* Leading on the delivery of client projects including being the primary contact for client management and accountable for efficient project delivery
* Managing project teams including coordination of study design and protocol development where appropriate. We expect most projects would be for clients in the pharmaceutical sectors
* Being a Subject Matter Expert on projects and engagements across the breadth of the Health Analytics team and LCP’s wider services
Driving the business forward with new service offerings and prospect development by;
* Leading on developing proposals and progressing client opportunities
o Coordinating delivery of proposals with support from Health Analytics leadership colleagues and Health Analytics BD team
* Generating new opportunities through early engagement with prospects
o A particular focus for this role would be upselling and cross-selling on existing clients/prospects through projects you lead
o Leveraging existing and developing new contacts across the life science sector
* Supporting growing the existing analytics offering into new markets and extending the capabilities of the current Health Analytics’ offering according to your expertise and track record
* Contributing to ongoing work in developing LCP’s Health Analytics sector presence through thought leadership
In addition to the above, you will;
* Be a member of the Health Analytics Leadership team and actively contribute to the development of the team
* Line manage team members
* Support the Real World Evidence Generation service area lead in the training and development of the team
What experience, skills and qualities do you need?
* Significant, demonstrable experience in the healthcare, life sciences or consulting industries, with a track record of leading teams in delivering innovative work in a fast-paced environment
* A 2:1 degree or better in a numerate or science subject, with a relevant PhD degree (e.g. Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Health Data Science) being desirable
* Excellent grounding in real world evidence with a desire to apply quantitative skills and rigorous science to solving real-world problems in health
* Demonstrable track record in prospecting and successful business development
* A commitment to providing excellent service to our clients, and experienced in leading consulting engagements
* Comfortable leading on day-to-day project activities as part of a small, dynamic and growing team, managing workloads of junior team members effectively
* Initiative and creativity
* Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) with the ability to present complex issues to others in a way which is easy to understand
* Familiarity with real world health data sources
* Experience of programming (R.Python) is desirable
* Excellent organisational skills
