Manufacturing Planning Excellence Manager

The Manufacturing Planning Team is at the heart of our operations, creating national production plans that span everything from what we’ll produce tomorrow to our long-term five-year strategy. We’re on the lookout for a talented and experienced Planning Excellence Manager to lead our continuous improvement across people, processes, and technology. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in transforming how we operate and deliver exceptional results across our manufacturing landscape.
Key Accountabilities and Measures
1. Lead & Innovate: Develop, own, and drive the annual Manufacturing Planning Team continuous improvement plan, ensuring we stay ahead of the curve.
2. Optimise & Automate: Leverage cutting-edge technology to enhance reporting and drive operational efficiency across the Manufacturing Planning team.
3. Collaborate & Improve: Work closely with IT to enhance SAP processes and reporting, driving performance at every level of the team.
4. Review & Enhance: Lead the creation, development, and optimisation of planning processes, using stakeholder engagement and change management to bring ideas to life.
5. Develop Talent: Empower the planning team through continuous upskilling and development of key capabilities.
6. Solve Problems: Act as a champion for Root Cause Problem Solving, facilitating solutions that deliver real results.
7. Experience: Several years of continuous improvement and analytical expertise in a manufacturing environment, including strong project management and business analysis skills.
8. Skills: Strong analytical, project and product management skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into operational requirements. Proven experience of continuous improvement concepts and programs including, Six Sigma, Lean, value stream mapping.
9. Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to create high-quality documents and presentations.
10. Collaboration: Proven ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders, colleagues, and teams across the business.
11. Problem Solving: A ‘completer-finisher’ who thrives in a results-driven environment, taking ownership from idea to delivery, and ensuring success is measured and achieved.
12. Project Life Cycle: Experience managing the full project life cycle – from conceptual design through to systems testing and beyond.
