Main Purpose of Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual seeking to start their accounting career studying towards an Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) qualification. We are seeking an enthusiastic, team player to join our Purchasing Team within the Finance Department of the Police Force. The post holder will be part of a team providing an excellent transactional service.
This is a career graded role that will be linked to experience and qualifications for progression through the levels. Level 1 will be trainee entry, and this will rise through to Level 3 in line with achievements in exams and gained relevant financial experience.
As part of the transactional services team, you will be required to liaise with the wider organisation to ensure requisitions and purchase orders are processed efficiently; ensure that payments are made to suppliers on time; and have opportunities to gain a wider financial understanding of the department to support your studies.
