Role Purpose
The Deputy Chief Operating Office comprises a set of outcome-focused service pillars including Corporate Services, Chief Control Office, Digital Business Transformation Services, ServCo Management, Group Transactions Implementation, as well as regional oversight for Canada, Latin America and Middle East and North Africa.

In this role you will:
* Act as a key contributor within the Global Chief Control Officer Cybersecurity function that to support the Group Chief Information Officers within HSBC, with focus on Vulnerability Management and Security Assurance controls.
* Engage with peers and colleagues to maximize contribution and commitment in delivering programmes within the stipulated timeframe within DGCOO.
* Communicate technology issues and cyber risk to Group, Region and Global Business/Function Stakeholders.
* Participate in Cybersecurity environment and risk related regulatory engagements as a Cybersecurity Controls Subject Matter Expert
* Engage with stakeholders in the Chief Information Office management and the Cybersecurity Risk and Controls Strategy Team to effectively analysis, design, and remediation of control deficiencies within the DGCOO environment.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
* Strong Cybersecurity experience and/or strong controls and governance experience especially in the areas of Vulnerability Management (Vulnerability scanning, assessing and remediation) and Security Assurance (automated Security Scanning, Penetration Testing and Threat Modelling).
* Experienced in identifying control design and implementation deficiencies, recommending remedial actions and assuring adequacy of remediation.
* Knowledge of cybersecurity principles such as identity access management, cybersecurity threat and incident management, network security and contemporary application development methodologies (e.g. Agile)
* Deep understanding of control design and common implementations in heterogenous and complex technology environments
* Strong interpersonal skills, coupled with the ability to succeed within a matrix management structure
* Ability to work well under pressure, demonstrate flexibility and adapt to rapidly changing priorities and tasks.
