Commercial Account Manager – Animal Feed – York – up to £50,
Are you ready to drive excellence?
We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Account Manager to join a highly dynamic team within the animal feed industry. You will play a vital role in building and maintaining business relationships with key customers, while expanding our customer network to achieve set KPIs and company objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and maintain long-lasting relationships with customers, focusing on value selling and generating new leads.
2. Utilise detailed product knowledge to provide customized solutions for customers and maximise sales.
3. Understand client needs and develop tailored solutions to support their farming systems, optimising productivity and profitability sustainably.
4. Conduct end-to-end account management for key external customers, including contract management and issue resolution.
5. Stay updated with industry standards and trends to develop a profound agricultural awareness.
6. Review and report on customer retention, opportunities, and market trends.
7. Take ownership of coordinating customer queries, issues, and complaints.
8. Provide support to direct reports in resolving customer issues and complaints and driving effective development.
9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet customer needs and deliver value-add solutions.
The Candidate:
10. Strong commercial background in the agricultural or manufacturing industry, preferably in the animal feed sector.
11. Degree level education, preferably in an agricultural discipline.
12. Proven IT competence, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and ERP systems (preferably SAP).
13. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
14. Analytical mindset, comfortable with large data sets and data manipulation.
15. Understanding of the UK agriculture market (desirable).
16. Previous sales and business development experience (desirable).
17. Recognized professional qualification in a related field (e.g., FAR).
