Overview of the Role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate apprentice to join our team at Little Scallywags Nursery. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is ready to embark on their Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship and develop their skills in a hands-on environment. As a key part of our team, you will be responsible for supporting the education and development of your key children, providing high-quality teaching and learning, and engaging in stimulating, child-centered activities.
Key Details:
* Working Hours: 40 hours per week
* Opening Hours: 8:00 am to 5:30 pm
* Wage: Apprentice wage (£6.40 p/h)
* Term Time Only: Yes
* Location: Tamworth
Apprenticeship Details:
* Qualification: Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship Standard
* Duration: 16 months
* Training Provider: LMP Education (Rated BEST UK training provider!)
* Learning: Online/Remote alongside your role at Little Scallywags
Full Duties and Responsibilities:
* Provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children
* Plan and implement age-appropriate activities to support children's development
* Observe and monitor children’s progress, well-being, and safety
* Work collaboratively with other nursery staff to create a positive learning atmosphere
* Keep accurate and up-to-date records on children's progress
* Communicate effectively with parents and carers about their child’s daily activities and development
* Ensure adherence to nursery policies and safeguarding procedures
* Participate in training and development opportunities
Skills & Personal Qualities:
* Experience working with young children in a nursery or childcare setting (desirable)
* Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
* Ability to plan exciting child-led activities that promote development
* Excellent timekeeping, attendance, and punctuality
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
* Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
* Ability to engage children positively and supportively
* A commitment to safeguarding and child welfare
