The post holder is expected to:
1. Perform and report on a range of highly specialised Cardiac Investigations.
2. Independently perform and report on adult transthoracic Echocardiograms to BSE standard.
3. Actively engage in the leadership and management of the department, in line with the organisation's values: Compassion, Accountability, Respect & Everyone Counts.
4. Actively participate in MDT meetings providing specialist knowledge to other Physiologists and medical staff.
5. Undertake clinical supervision and training within the Cardiac Investigations Department.
6. Maintain high standards of care in an environment which promotes equality, dignity, and sensitivity for all individuals.

Job responsibilities
You shall undertake highly skilled cardiac physiological tests on patients to inform clinical diagnosis. You shall be confident in interpreting results, providing factual reports on investigations, and feeding back outcomes to patients in a sensitive and professional manner.
You will be required to demonstrate clinical leadership, undertaking clinical supervision and training for trainee staff and professionals up to degree level. You shall also be responsible for participating in regular clinical audit and research and development activities.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* BSc Clinical Physiology or equivalent.
* Working towards British Society of Echocardiography accreditation/ Heart rhythm society accreditation.
Physical Skills
* Excellent Physical Dexterity Skills.
* Frequent requirement to exert moderate physical effort which may include working in an awkward position, movement of patients in wheelchairs and manoeuvring equipment.
* Requirement for frequent prolonged concentration.
* Unpredictable workload.
* Able to pragmatically respond to change.
Abilities
* Able to support others and provide clinical supervision.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
* Ability to engage with a variety of people; patients and staff, some where there are barriers to understanding.
