Owen Mumford are looking to hire enthusiastic Toolmakers to join our team! Could this be your next role?
Scope:
The main responsibility of the Toolmaker is to ensure maximum up time of injection moulds within the manufacturing divisions. As directed by the Tooling Engineer you will perform PPM, troubleshoot and attend breakdowns, utilising the resources available on site to carry out repairs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensuring tools and ancillary equipment are maintained to produce components that meet specification.
* Diagnosis of tooling failures and component quality issues.
* Assessment of tooling following any unplanned downtime.
* Daily liaison with Production Managers and Supervisors to highlight any potential tooling or component quality related issues
* Daily updates to the Tooling Engineer regarding tooling status
* Liase with sub-contract Toolmakers regarding tooling repairs
* Managing the stock of consumable items and updating the Tooling Engineer when required
* To comply diligently with all administrative and procedural requirements of the job including:
* Daily update of tooling status spreadsheets to ensure visibility of tooling status within the organisation
* Adherence to tooling related SOP's
* Completion and maintenance of appropriate records.
* Raising of necessary paperwork to facilitate tool trials and tooling repairs when required.
* Completion of other administrative requirements as requested from time to time
* To care and maintain all Company documents, materials and other equipment under his/her control.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* To be computer literate
* Experience within Tooling Hot Runner Systems
* The ability to read Tooling drawings
* The ability to confidently deal with people of all levels
* Knowledge and experience diagnosing tooling faults
* Experience in managing preventative maintenance
* To be an effective team worker, equally able to work on their own
* To be highly self-motivated/self-starter/resilient
* Strong communication skills
Shift patterns available:
* Days: 6:00am to 2:00pm
* Nights: 2:00pm to 10:00pm
These shifts are Monday-Friday alternating weeks.
