Sussex CAMHS (Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust) are looking to recruit a dynamic, experienced and motivated Occupational Therapist into an exciting opportunity within the Sussex wide CHYPS Home Treatment Team. The focus of this role is to work within a service providing evidence-based assessment and intervention for young people needing additional support within the community. The CHYPS Home Treatment Team is Sussex wide and it will soon become part of the Hospital at Home Service, able to provide an alternative pathway to hospital admission. We are hugely interested to hear from applicants who are interested in developing these skills and can demonstrate how their core competencies could be adapted and honed with the support of additional training. The ability to travel is essential for this post Main duties of the job The CHYPS Home Treatment Team is a friendly, innovative and exciting team working with high levels of demand and complexity. Your main duties will involve: - Offering evidence based occupational functional assessment of a young person's mental health needs, to inform a shared formulation around the young person's presenting difficulties and needs to recommend suitable therapeutic intervention. -Assessment and management of risk in the community alongside local community CHYPS teams. - Managing & working with a small caseload of young people with mental health difficulties within the multi-disciplinary team. - Supporting the professional development of Occupational Therapy within the service and supporting colleagues within the wider Sussex CAMHS services.
