What do we offer you: Flexible working opportunities Amazing development opportunities with the first UK Clinical skills lab being embedded within the hospital An opportunity to have access to state of the art equipment within a brand new hospital setting Annual personal development review, 1:1 support External and Internal courses Services to support your health and wellbeing (which starts with the layout of the hospital), sanctuary, and free access to onsite gym The benefit of the NHS pension scheme offering What we need from you: MRCP Qualified Full GMC Registration with Licence to Practice Must be on the UK Specialist Register in Dermatology (or entry expected within 6 months from the date of interview) Clinical training and experience equivalent to that required for gaining CCT in Dermatology Ability to take full and independent responsibility for the management of acute medical emergencies Ability to work well with colleagues and within a team Ability to motivate and develop the multi-disciplinary team, balancing departmental and personal objectives Ability to use the evidence base and clinical audit to support decision-making The ability to appraise junior doctors and other staff Your duties will include: To collaborate and work to maintain Dermatology services in line with strategic requirement To provide, with the other Consultants in the specialty, routine and emergency dermatology services to the Trust, operating a system of mutual out-of-hours cover, and cover for annual, study and professional leave To provide a consultation and advisory service to medical colleagues in other specialties in the Trust To develop a special interest to complement those of the existing Consultants in the Dermatology team in accordance with the priorities of the Trust To participate in the education and training of junior doctors, medical students, nurses, paramedics and general practitioners To liaise with medical staff in other specialties and participate in clinical meetings and postgraduate activities in the Trust To contribute to the development of dermatology services, treatment guidelines and the promotion of greater knowledge of the management of dermatological conditions in primary care To demonstrate a firm commitment to the principles of clinical governance Don’t miss this opportunity to join a brand new hospital project which affords some of the best chances for career progression that you are likely to find.
