The role: Simmons & Simmons is on the lookout for a skilled Front-End Developer with UI/UX knowledge to join our pioneering technology team. This is the perfect role for someone passionate about AI and eager to make a significant impact What will you do: Work as part of the Development Team in a Scrum/Agile way of working. Estimate size of backlog items, translation of backlog items into engineering design and logical units of work (tasks) and implementation of these backlog items. Write and verify code which adheres to the acceptance criteria including following of product development best practices. Change Control; from requests for change (RFC) through to implementation and review, to support the continued availability, effectiveness and safety of the product. Collaborate closely with our legal teams and product developers to integrate AI technologies seamlessly into our services, enhancing both client and internal workflows. Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI/ML product user interface trends, evaluating and incorporating them into our projects to maintain our competitive edge. Participate in the full development lifecycle, from concept and design to deployment and optimization. What we are looking for: A solid background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field, or have equivalent practical experience. 1years of professional experience working with Large Language Models (LLM)/ GenAI technology like OpenAI API, ChatGPT, GPT-4, Gemini, Langchain, HuggingFace Transformers, PyTorch and similar is highly desirable, 3 years of demonstrating a profound understanding of front end development, design and UX considerations with experience in chat bot or web app interfaces being particularly valuable. Experience in researching and applying UI/UX best practice and producing multiple wireframes and design options to support decision making of the product owners. Able to research and advise on current best practices on UI/UX topics and apply those to the front ends and components that you build. Strong coding skills in React, HTML, CSS/Tailwind and use of API calls to a backend/APIM. A strong track record of building enterprise grade front end solutions. Excellent problem-solving abilities and are adept at working within a fast-paced, innovative startup-like environment. Experience of working in Scrum/Agile practices.
