What you'll do As an Estates Manager at Sainsbury's, you will play a crucial role in the proactive and effective management of the Sainsbury's & Argos extensive property portfolio. Your responsibilities will encompass various aspects of estate management, such as proactively managing leases and associated lease transactions, managing external consultants, minimising property costs, formulating recommendations on Landlord and Tenant matters, and building relationships with landlords and tenants. Additionally, you will liaise with internal stakeholders, including Store Managers and Regional Operation Managers, and oversee the implementation of internal projects impacting the Sainsbury's & Argos estate. Your role will require staying updated with market trends, maintaining accurate databases and trackers, and actively managing landlord and tenant and service charge consultants, amongst others and liaising with internal FM teams.Critically, with the operational estate, to minimise disruption to trade by utilising these relationships and skills and finding resolutions to estate issues. Overall, your success will be measured by effectively managing lease transactions, managing trade disruption effectively, implementing projects impacting the property portfolio, and ensuring the best commercial settlements for Sainsbury's. Who you are As the Estates Manager, you are a highly knowledgeable and experienced professional with a strong background in property management. With relevant property experience and ideally membership in RICS, you possess a deep understanding of lease events, landlord and tenant matters, and property market trends. Your strong commercial acumen and ability to use your own initiative allow you to proactively manage the Sainsbury's & Argos portfolio, minimising property costs and maximising flexibility within the designated region. Your excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders enable you to effectively collaborate with store managers, regional operation managers, landlords, and tenants. As a strategic thinker, you continuously seek ways to improve processes and drive the best commercial settlements for Sainsbury's.
