Are you a detail-oriented accountant with strong analytical skills looking for a dynamic role? We're seeking a talented Group Reporting and Management Accountant to join our team in Aberdeen and assist with all group reporting to Sulzer HQ. This is a pivotal role supporting the Head of Finance and working closely with the Operations Team and offers exciting opportunities to improve financial processes with the upcoming implementation and development of Microsoft Dynamics 365.
Your main tasks and responsibilities:
1. Support the Head of Finance in preparing monthly financial reports and management information.
2. Collaborate closely with the Operations Team and the Financial Controller to provide finance support to a number of projects, coordinating the monthly forecasting of revenue, costs and margin analysis and providing meaningful commentary.
3. Provide insightful variance analysis to support operational and financial decision making.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
1. Qualified accountant with 2-5 years of experience.
2. Experienced in month-end reporting, forecasting, variance analysis, and group reporting.
3. Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications and experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is highly advantageous.
4. The ideal applicant should demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively as this role is critical in ensuring accurate reporting and supporting decision-making.
5. A proactive problem-solving approach with strong analytical skills.
6. Understanding of financial reporting in accordance with IFRS and UK GAAP.
