Year 1 Teacher – Darwen Are you a qualified and experienced KS1 Teacher who is looking to work within a large Primary School in Darwen? Competitive rates of pay – potential permanent role. The School: This is a large Darwen Primary School serving a mixed catchment area. The school is easily commutable from surrounding areas such as Blackburn. The Head teacher is committed to whole school improvement and is keen to secure a teacher with a strong academic background, preferably somebody who has experience working within an ‘inner city’ school due to the school’s mixed catchment area. The school have a well-established senior leadership team and have very few staffing changes. Behaviour in school is generally good; this is reflective of the robust behaviour management strategies consistently implemented across the school by all staff. The Head teacher encourages collaborative planning to reduce the teacher’s workload and develop best practice across Key Stage 1. The school follow Read Write Inc. Phonics, therefore experience following this scheme would be advantageous but not essential The Role: This position has cropped up due to a recent resignation and the school are keen to appoint a teacher who would be interested in a permanent role. The school are looking for a Teacher for Y1. The successful candidate will also be expected to undertake the full teaching role; planning, delivering and assessing the children in line with the local framework and the National Curriculum. Candidates must hold a strong subject knowledge in all curriculum areas especially in Maths, Reading, and Writing.
