About the Role:
Seeking a Senior Process Engineer to drive the design, optimisation, and validation of key processes within this company's pilot plant. You will work on preserving product stability, increasing process efficiency, and ensuring scalability. This role involves troubleshooting, process validation, and data analysis to support the company's growth towards full-scale manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Process Design & Optimisation: Develop and refine processes to ensure efficiency, scalability, and cost-effectiveness as we transition from pilot to full-scale production.
2. Troubleshooting & Problem Solving: Resolve process failures and bottlenecks through data analysis, ensuring high machine efficiency and minimal downtime.
3. Testing & Validation: Conduct extensive testing to validate that processes meet required specifications and standards.
4. Data Analysis: Identify areas for improvement and convert insights into actionable solutions, collaborating with various teams to implement them.
5. Safety & Compliance: Ensure that all processes meet safety regulations and industry standards, maintaining a safe working environment during scale-up.
6. Knowledge Transfer: Document processes and train staff to ensure smooth knowledge transfer and scalable replication of operations.
7. Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, scientists, and stakeholders to align process development with overall company objectives.
Desired Skills & Experience:
1. Degree in Engineering or Physical Sciences (or equivalent).
2. 5+ years in process or manufacturing engineering, with a history of transitioning from pilot stage to full-scale production in an R&D environment.
3. Experience with web handling or roll-to-roll processes is a distinct advantage.
4. Strong knowledge of Six Sigma, PFMEA, and DMAIC, with continuous improvement (CI) experience.
5. Strong report writing and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex data and processes to internal and external audiences.
