We are seeking to recruit a graduate who has successfully completed a Psychology Degree, recognised by the British Psychological Society. Completion of or near completion of a post-graduate qualification in psychology would be an additional advantage. The successful applicant will have knowledge of psychology laboratory equipment/resources and procedures, including the use of statistical packages. The successful applicant will work collaboratively and supportively with an established team of Psychology academics to support high quality input into the Psychology Subject area at Birmingham Newman University. The successful applicant will play a key role in demonstrating psychology equipment/psychological resources/statistical software/analysis in workshops/seminar/tutorials. They will have the ability to work collaboratively and independently and with limited supervision.
Short summary of main essential criteria
• To ensure maintenance of equipment is carried out and provide advice regarding procurement as necessary.
• To research and source appropriate and innovative resources such as equipment/tests/psychological resources, books and journals for psychology use.
• To contribute to psychology workshop/seminar/tutorials in the capacity of demonstrating psychology resources (e.g., equipment/psychological resources/statistical software/analysis) as appropriate.
• To liaise with academic members of the team to provide advice and support to students engaged in project work in relation to technology enhanced, technical hardware and test bank resources.
