Main Areas of Responsibility As our After School Club Assistant, you will: Assist in the preparation of snacks and meals cleaning away and washing up when required. To be responsible for a group of children. Assist in ensuring that the children are safe at all times and dealing with any likely causes of danger. To attend occasional staff meetings. To attend training sessions occasionally, if required, at a mutually agreed time and date. To undertake any other task as required by management within the purpose of the job. To inform SLT immediately of any incident which could be detrimental to the well-being of any child within the Club’s care. To offer ideas and participate in new and improved play activities. This will involve offering a weekly activity, e.g. arts and crafts, physical, cooking etc. Qualifications & Experience We would like to hear from you if you have: NVQ Level 2 in Early Years / Play-work / Teaching Assistant or equivalent First Aid Certificate (or willingness to acquire) Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to acquire).
