About the role
Staying on top of regulation is hard work in any sector but within an already regulation laden sector and with a reliance on external service provision this client has to operate effectively in multiple layers while delivering a better experience to customers.
Responsibilities:
* You will build and implement the information and data governance program to comply with privacy, confidentiality, and information-security related laws and regulations, and company policies and objectives; promoting quality and management of the protection of sensitive data and information assets.
* You will respond to data incidents and enhance the company's data security incident plans. The scope of information governance encompasses personal information, company information, systems and infrastructure. You’ll have a good understanding of regulations and other challenges as well as a reasonable knowledge of ISO27001. You’ll report to ICT&Change Director and assist him in implementing and monitoring the efficiencies of the overarching strategy data and security strategy while indirectly managing change through external service provision.
Skills:
* Information / Data / Security / Cyber related education or accreditations
* Broad knowledge in different technology domains (network, endpoints, cloud computing, application architecture), IT and Data concepts and security structures.
* Experience applying effective processes and controls to comply with industry standards, regulations and audits, such as ISO27001
* Experience working in a growing organisation with a fast-paced and change culture
* Experience delivering and owning the management of data or security process
Preferred Qualifications
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
* Experience within the Financial Services or Asset Management arena
* Excellent report writing skills and the ability to present and articulate complex data in a clear and intuitive way.
* Working knowledge of information management
* Information governance experience, including in the areas of personal information, company information, systems, and infrastructure.
