In this role I am in charge of partnering with Store Directors, Area Managers or Centre Managers to drive delivery of our business priorities and the local people agenda. Winning
together through partnering and deploying solutions that drive our talent, culture & capability ambitions to enhance the colleague experience.
You will be responsible for
* Staying curious and keeping up to date with People Practices both internally and externally
Partnering the business to:
* Create and build credible and trusted partnerships to drive our talent, culture & capability ambitions; contributing with purpose, challenging & encouraging diversity of thought
* Aligning people plan and operational priorities to enhance colleague experience, drive high performance culture & increase business output
* Being the voice of the business; feeding back insights, demand & requirements to other People Teams & via NWTs to continuously shape & enhance the colleague experience
* Partner leadership teams and talent & resource leads to drive local talent agenda and develop high potential talent with bespoke interventions.
* Looking ahead to forecast supply and demand in your geographical area; creating diverse and inclusive succession planning and talent pools.
* Gather and use people data to draw insight, understand requirements and inform judgement, decision making & action planning at local level
Deploying the People Plan by:
* Lead and deploy people plan priorities in your area and advocate for new ways of working and technologies.
* Lead and deploy core people cycle activities.
* Deployment of people impacting change projects into stores or DCs
* Expert support on local sensitive wellness cases or people crisis situations
* Provide expert support and guidance during the recruitment journey to ensure we are operationally set up for success and legally compliant
* Identifying scalable capability needs for your area and inputting to the Capability POE
* Distribution: Working in line with local site agreements, coaching managers on policy variations and identifying & supporting standardisation and simplification for the future
* Distribution: Work with local unions reps and officials on BAU and local activity
* Retail: Fostering a positive working relationship with union reps and understanding
You will need
* Strong communication skills with proven track record of demonstrating
* Breadth of People experience including D&I, talent, capability & wellbeing credibility with & influencing stakeholders at all levels.
* Broad understanding of our business, strategy and priorities
* Understanding of emerging People trends & external landscape
* CIPD qualification or equivalent desirable
* Ability to leverage data & draw insight to inform business decisions
