Location: Cheddar, Somerset
Company: Company, crafting bespoke interiors for exceptional homes. Our work is highly integrated, requiring a meticulous level of design coordination internally and with external consultants, including architects, M&E engineers, and other specialists. We seek a technically minded Architectural Assistant with a keen eye for architectural detail, an understanding of domestic MEP services, and a strong interest in working within a multidisciplinary team of joinery and interior designers.
This role provides the opportunity to work under the mentorship of an experienced qualified architect, contributing to the coordination and delivery of meticulously crafted interior architecture.
Key Responsibilities
* Management of design information, including drawings and schedules, ensuring accuracy and accessibility for the team.
* Communication with external design teams, coordinating with architects, engineers, and consultants to ensure seamless integration of design elements.
* Maintaining up-to-date design information, ensuring clarity and consistency across all project stages.
* Upholding in-house drawing standards, refining and maintaining the quality of technical documentation.
* Thorough file management, structuring digital and physical records for efficiency and clarity.
* Assisting with site surveys, contributing to the assessment and documentation of project conditions.
Required Skills & Experience
* Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specification schedules.
* Excellent analytical and spatial thinking skills.
* Familiarity with the RIBA Plan of Work, understanding project phases and coordination.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp for technical and visual representation.
* Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is desirable but not essential.
* Strong understanding of industry drawing standards.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
While there is no minimum post-qualification experience required, we are particularly interested in Candidates Who Can Demonstrate Coordinated Drawing Skills.
