We are currently supporting a fast-growing Retail SME business based in Surrey with the recruitment of an Interim Financial Accountant.
The role is an interim position needed to support the team through a period of transition as a result of impressive business growth. An exciting time to work with the business!
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Accounting:
1. Prepare and review balance sheet and P&L reconciliations - resolving differences promptly.
2. Own the balance sheet reporting pack.
3. Produce and post key journals including accruals and prepayments with involvement in all areas of the month-end process.
4. Manage the Fixed Asset Register and ensure timely postings on acquisition/disposal of assets.
2. Compliance:
1. Assist the Finance Manager with the year-end statutory audit and corporation tax process.
2. Prepare monthly VAT analysis and quarterly VAT returns.
3. Assist with future foreign subsidiary setup (including incorporation, tax registrations, transfer pricing, etc.).
3. Financial Control:
1. Assist with the design and implementation of a robust system of financial controls.
2. Other ad hoc projects in support of the Management.
The role is suited to an immediately available Qualified Accountant (ideally ACA or ACCA) who possesses prior audit experience. For more information, please get in touch.
