Whether you have experience in a care environment, or don't have experience but have a passion to help transform the lives of the young people at Prior's Court - we'd love to hear from you.
We offer a direct-to-site transport service for our Autism Practitioners, with pick-up and drop-off points in Oxford, Newbury, Reading, Swindon, & Basingstoke.
Main duties of the job
Every shift for an Autism Practitioner changes a life. Its a care role. Its a teaching role. Its a role model role. Its varied. Its a career. Its a passion. Its teamwork. Its challenging. Its rewarding. Its for operate a rota based on a rolling pattern of early and late shifts throughout 52 weeks of the year, including weekends and public holidays. Our early shift starts at 7am and finishes at 4pm and our late shift starts at 2pm and finishes at 10pm.
For those who are not experienced in care, we offer a comprehensive, freetrainingprogramme including hands-on working alongside experienced and senior team members, resulting in the completion of a Level 3 diploma you will gain a salary increase upon completion of the Diploma (usually within your first 12 months) and become eligible for promotion to Autism Practitioner Level 2.

About us
Priors Court is a registered charity providing education and residential care for autistic young people with complex needs, aged 5-25. Set within a 50-acre site in Berkshire, we have extensive bespoke facilities to help the young people we support to be healthy, happy, more independent and have the opportunity to access the world of work.
We understand that the little things are actually the big things for an autistic young person, and we celebrate them as major milestones. A daily life skill gained or an anxiety conquered today is a stepping stone towards tomorrows work placement, or a shared special occasion with family.

Job responsibilities
1. Use schedules, visual structure, and communication systems to help young people understand and carry out tasks/activities successfully
2. Understand and implement young peoples This Is Me plans
3. Carry out personal care for young people in line with their This Is Me plans
4. Ensure accurate and timely completion of young peoples information within Prior Insight
5. Support young people to access learning following latest planned activities
6. Ensure Safeguarding procedures are followed keeping young people safe from risk of harm and/or abuse
7. Ensure that young peoples health needs are met including medication administration
8. Ensure young peoples clothing/shoes, possessions and personal finances are safely managed
9. Ensure regular contact is maintained with young peoples parents and key stakeholders
