Upton Mill is a welcoming care home that provides expert 24-hour residential, nursing, dementia, and respite care for up to 64 elderly residents. This purpose-built home boasts a wealth of luxurious amenities, including beautifully decorated bedrooms equipped with ensuite wet rooms, a selection of stylish lounges and dining rooms, a café, cinema, hairdressing salon, gym, and a private dining room. As part of the award-winning Porthaven Group, we deliver outstanding care for our residents.
About the role:
Make a difference to people's lives every day with a rewarding career at Porthaven Care Homes.
As a Team Leader, you will care for our residents like you would care for your own family, looking after their physical, psychological, and social needs and ensuring that they receive the highest standard of care.
You will deliver person-centred care to our residents to ensure they retain their dignity and individuality, in line with current evidence-based professional practice, Porthaven's policies and procedures, CQC standards and regulations, and current legislation.
As well as leading and inspiring a team of dedicated carers and senior carers, you will be a key point of contact for liaising with our residents, families, and specialists alike as you work to provide exceptional care and leadership in an environment where integrity and trust mean everything.
About you:
Cheerful, caring, and compassionate by nature, with good reading, writing, and communication skills, you will have a flexible approach to working shifts. You will be passionate about care and making a positive difference to the lives of older people.
You will have completed your NVQ level 3 Diploma in Adult Care (or Diploma in Health and Social Care) or be willing to undertake it, and you will have experience in person-centred care planning. You will have knowledge of caring for people living with complex needs. Previous experience of working in a care home environment, perhaps in a senior carer role, would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided.
The successful candidate will be subject to the provision of satisfactory references and a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, and they must be authorised to work in the United Kingdom. Candidates must also provide evidence of a full covid-19 vaccination.
