Technical Architect – Data Migration
Location: Remote - must be UK based
Work Pattern: Full time/12 Month Fixed Term Contract

The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Technical Architect to lead a complex data migration project. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in MongoDB, Java, and Spring Boot microservices. This role requires a strategic thinker who can design scalable, efficient, and robust solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and oversee the end-to-end data migration strategy, ensuring integrity, efficiency, and minimal downtime.
* Architect, develop, and optimize MongoDB database structures to support migration and ongoing application needs.
* Provide technical leadership on Java and Spring Boot microservices architecture, ensuring best practices and scalability.
* Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, and business teams to ensure a seamless migration process.
* Define technical standards, guidelines, and best practices for data architecture and microservices development.
* Troubleshoot complex issues related to data migration and system performance.
* Ensure compliance with security, data privacy, and regulatory requirements.
Required Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience as a Technical Architect, with a focus on data migration projects.
* Strong hands-on experience with MongoDB, including data modelling, performance tuning, and migration strategies.
* Expertise in Java and Spring Boot microservices architecture.
* Experience with ETL processes and migration tools.
* Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Certifications in MongoDB, Java, or cloud platforms.
* Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
* Knowledge of API design and integration patterns.
