Location: Hybrid: Based out of Manchester/Whitstable/ Haywards Heath 09:00 am to 17:00 pm, Monday to Friday Role Purpose: You will be responsible for process reviews, requirements gathering, solution engineering and project management as part of a development team. You will liaise with C#, Polaris and Radar developers to explain solutions and conduct integration testing to ensure solutions are performant. Key Responsibilities Requirements gathering. Producing process flows. Solution engineering using UML. Documenting solutions within specifications. Producing and maintaining spec material including: Swim lanes. Transaction diagrams. Class diagrams. Mapping rules and/ or schemas. Project management Producing reports. Stakeholder feedback and engagement. Chairing solution engineering calls. Creating and/or refining processes. Working closely with developers to iterate on solutions as part of regular sprints. Liaising with, and raising development work requests to, third parties software houses and partners. Regular tasks Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Ad-hoc analysis tasks as part of a ticketing system. Acting as the intermediary between business/operations and developers. Deputising for the Product Development Manager as part of meetings. Occasional development work including insurance product writing. Essential Skills Excellent analytical skills. Excellent understanding of distributed solution design. Good understanding of web service functionality. XML/Json messaging/mappings. Creating a message model using UML. Auth handshaking. Swagger, WSDL and/ or XSD familiarity. Some programming experience desirable within one of the following: C# Java VB Polaris Radar Experience in supporting insurance policy and claims processing systems. Detailed knowledge of business and operational processes in Policy and/or Claims. Excellent planning skills. Very strong attention to detail. Excellent time management and organisational skills Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Innovative and change-embracing. Uses own initiative, can work independently or as part of a team as the need requires. An interest in, and understanding of, project management techniques. Good knowledge of DPA, FCA, TCF and any other applicable regulatory requirements. Qualifications / Experience Desirable - Industry recognised Business Analysis qualification such as the BCS Business Analysis Foundation or Diploma certifications. Desirable - Degree educated. Desirable - Experience in a Project Management role or equivalent.
