Conversion and Data Insights Specialist (eCommerce)
Location: Remote/Hybrid, UK-Based
Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 DOE
We are working with a fast-growing eCommerce company that is looking to optimise its online experience and drive data-led decision-making. They are hiring a Conversion and Data Insights Specialist with strong hands-on CRO expertise, a strategic mindset, and adjacent skills in data analysis to take their reporting sophistication to the next level.
This role will be responsible for improving the online customer journey, increasing conversion rates, and extracting meaningful insights from data. It is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced eCommerce environment and enjoys working on both strategic and hands-on elements of CRO and data analysis.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and execute CRO initiatives, designing and implementing A/B and multivariate testing strategies to improve conversion rates.
* Develop and implement data-driven strategies to optimise the user journey and drive engagement.
* Build, run, and analyse experiments with minimal reliance on developers, using tools such as Google Optimize, Optimizely, or VWO.
* Improve and refine reporting frameworks, providing actionable insights to influence decision-making.
* Work closely with product, marketing, and UX teams to test and implement strategies that enhance digital performance.
* Extract and interpret data from multiple sources, identifying trends and opportunities to improve conversion rates.
Skills and Experience Required
* Proven experience in CRO and A/B testing with a hands-on approach to setting up and running experiments.
* Strong understanding of eCommerce user behaviour and customer psychology.
* Ability to blend CRO with data analysis, using insights to refine and enhance digital performance.
* Experience working with Google Analytics, SQL, Python, R, or BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
* Familiarity with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, with the ability to make front-end adjustments for testing purposes.
* Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of CRO and data initiatives.
