Job Purpose
The Finance Manager primarily will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting and reporting function of our LN Spare Parts & Service Co’s as well as the Intercompany process. In addition, this role will manage the Property Plant and Equipment and Intangibles accounting and reporting. The role also has responsibility for ensuring consistent adherence to US GAAP, Husky’s Financial Guidelines as well as ensuring compliance with Internal Controls.
Key Responsibilities
* Leadership and mentoring of team members. This includes providing technical expertise, training, motivating, and leading by example as well as mentoring of Financial Analysts/Specialists.
* Preparation/review of various financial monthly/quarterly reports including variance analysis.
* Review and Approval of tasks performed by direct reports and other teams such as journal entries, reconciliations, and capital spend.
* Review Fixed Spend for applicable accounts and provide analysis.
* Review Legal Entity PED entries and provide analysis.
* Work with Internal and External Auditors on a monthly/quarterly basis.
* Manage LN/BIV integration with AX/OS.
* Work closely with and provide value-added financial analysis support to the Operations teams.
* Troubleshooting and providing support as required.
* Liaison with Tax and Treasury to ensure Husky is compliant with transfer pricing policies and cash settlement/foreign exchange requirements.
* Adhoc analysis within the Americas.
* Undertakes special projects within the Americas.
Critical Capabilities
* A strong team builder and developer of people.
* Adaptable and agile. Able to work effectively in a very fast-paced environment.
* Detail-oriented with the ability to summarize and provide concise explanations to key stakeholders.
Education
CPA professional accounting designation as well as University degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting.
Qualifications/Experience
* Strong accounting (US GAAP and/or local GAAP, IFRS, SOX), analytical experience.
* Ability to identify financial weaknesses and implement effective internal controls.
* Sound ERP systems experience (INFOR LN preferred).
* 5+ years’ experience in a senior Accounting/Financial analyst role.
* Manufacturing experience will be viewed as a significant asset.
