Summary
This role is responsible for the safe handling of products & medicines to meet Home Care order requirements in line with Good Documentation Practice (GDP), Good Warehouse Practice (GWP), Pharmacy Standard Operating Procedures and under the instruction of the Responsible Pharmacist.
Key Accountabilities
* Receive, process and action accordingly (including storage) all good-in products ensuring correct data entry and reconciliation of all receipts.
* Store products by batch and utilise first-expired first-out principles in compliance with temperature & storage condition requirements.
* Pick, dispense and dispatch products timely and accurately in accordance with the warehouse & pharmacy standard operating procedures and operational KPIs.
* Undertake frequent compliance checks within the warehouse operations in line with Baxter Management Systems (e.g. Quality, H&S, Environment, and Operational Excellence) and external requirements (Good Warehousing Practice & General Pharmaceutical Council).
* Advance any operational discrepancies to the Warehouse Supervisor and Responsible Pharmacist.
* Record events (e.g. incident, complaints, service issues) and assist with the investigation in accordance with the complaints procedure.
* Manage and process all returns & waste in accordance with the warehouse and pharmacy standard operating procedures.
Essential Criteria
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 2 in Dispensing Assistant (or equivalent)
Skills
* High levels of accuracy with data entry
* Good IT proficiency including using warehouse management systems
* Good interpersonal skills
* Good attention to detail
* Good verbal and written communication skills
Experience
* Previous hands-on operational experience in a warehouse environment and/or pharmacy environment
* Previous experience of working in a cold chain environment would be advantageous
* Successful experience in following standard operating procedures
Knowledge
* Working knowledge of Safeguarding practices (at Level 1 or equivalent)
* Good knowledge of safe manual handling practices
* Working knowledge of applying Good Document Management practices
