The Role
As part of the Works unit, the Team Leader – Sealed Roads is responsible for leading a team of staff focused on the maintenance and construction of sealed roads infrastructure across the shire. This team is primarily responsible for delivering sealed road patching, edging and repairs, sealed road infrastructure, unsealed roads pothole patching repairs, bitumen footpath installation and repairs.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include supervising and driving the performance of the Sealed Roads Team, leading by example and providing guidance and motivation to your team members to ensure quality completion of tasks, projects and programs in a safe, timely and efficient manner.
Minimum Requirements:
To be successful in this role you will have relevant experience and qualifications which include:
* Leading and supervising teams in sealed road maintenance and construction
* Flocon (including attachments) operation skills are essential – 5+ years’ experience
* A current competency and experience in front end loader and skid steer operation
* Demonstrated experience in the basic maintenance and minor repair of relevant plant and equipment
* A current Victorian Drivers Licence with Medium Truck (MR) endorsement
* Awareness of Occupational Health & Safety and safe chemical handling processes and procedures
