Job Title: CNC Machinist Title of Direct Manager: Machining Supervisor Position Summary: Machine quality parts from blueprints and work orders provided in a timely and accurate manner. This is a full-time, standard position, not temporary Essential Functions: D escription Set Up Machines with appropriate material and tooling, adjust machine speeds and feeds as required. Utilized designated programs making edits at the machine where necessary, program at the machine where necessary. Efficiently and safely operate machining equipment to machine specified part within specified tolerances. Monitor machine progress by checking tolerances, placement of machined areas, etc. by using calipers and other measuring and quality related tools. Unload finished parts and stage in appropriate areas using overhead cranes and hoists, lifts, etc. Comply with all safety rules at all times. Act in a manner that results in collaboration, teamwork and respect toward all internal and external contacts. Qualifications, Education, Knowledge, Training, Work Experience: High School Diploma or Equivalent Machining knowledge that leads to the ability to proficiently machine parts from Blue Prints through the finished goods stage. Formal or On the Job Training with CNC Mills and or Lathes. Proficient with Shop Math including but not limited to general addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, algebra, and trigonometry. Ability to safely and efficiently operate cranes, hoists, lifts, etc. Prior Experience in a Machining Environment. Metrics: Quality Productivity On-Time Delivery Team Work-Collaboration Safety Physical Demands and Environment: Constant exposure to a manufacturing setting. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time in order to operate machines efficiently. Must be able to withstand loud noises, extreme heat, lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs. Must have the dexterity to handle various objects necessary to complete the essential functions.
