The Background:
Due to continued expansion, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager to join our exclusive interiors business which provides branded fabrics, wallpapers and home furnishings to consumers and trade businesses around the world.
Together, the Warner House and Pure Edit brands will generate revenue of £3m this year and, following expansion into both the American market and bricks and mortar UK trade partners, we are forecast to double turnover in the next two years.
The Role:
The role of Finance Manager will be integral to the future success of the business. You will report directly to the owner and be their subject matter expert on everything finance-related. You will have a huge amount of autonomy when deciding how best to organise the finance function and, as the business continues to grow, you will be responsible for building a Finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Providing accurate and timely monthly management accounts
* Cash management and forecasting
* Quarterly VAT returns
* Ensuring financial processes and controls are improved and implemented
* Processing purchase ledger invoices
* Managing supplier payments
* Providing monthly information to the payroll bureau
* Producing annual budgets and reforecasts
* Audit preparation and working with the external auditors at year end
* Developing and reporting management information to assist the business in making informed decisions.
The Ideal Candidate:
This is very much a role for an all-rounder. You are likely to:
* be qualified via CIMA/ACCA, but may instead be QBE.
* have a good working knowledge of Xero.
* possess excellent Excel skills.
* understand the challenges associated with importing and exporting goods.
* have experience in a business holding large quantities of stock.
* be a “hands on” individual.
* be comfortable with the responsibility that comes with having sole charge of the business finances.
* relish the opportunity to arrange the finance function, from scratch, exactly as you see fit.
* constantly consider how to improve processes so that the business can grow efficiently.
* enjoy working in the SME environment.
* communicate well at all levels, be well organised and show excellent attention to detail.
* be ready to develop and grow your role so you can continue to support the development and growth of the business.

The Basics:
Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 depending on experience
Holidays: 25 days plus bank holidays

Location: the team will shortly be moving to new premises on Stuart Road Industrial Estate, Altrincham, WA14 5GJ.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday with flexibility regarding working hours.
