About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teacher to join a well-established school in Middlesbrough. This is a full-time position, ideal for an enthusiastic educator who is keen to inspire students in their study of languages and cultures. You will be teaching a range of languages, including French, Spanish, and German, depending on your specialism.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Teach Languages: Deliver engaging and interactive lessons in French, Spanish, and/or German.
2. Lesson Planning: Prepare well-structured lessons that cater to different learning styles and levels.
3. Classroom Management: Maintain a positive, respectful classroom environment that encourages student participation.
4. Assessment: Track student progress, provide feedback, and ensure students meet academic goals.
5. Collaborative Approach: Work closely with the MFL department and other staff to deliver a coherent curriculum.
Requirements:
1. Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a degree in Modern Languages or a related field.
2. Experience: Previous experience teaching MFL at secondary school level is desirable.
3. Skills: Strong communication, classroom management, and organisational skills.
4. Language Proficiency: Fluency in at least one of the languages you’ll be teaching (French, Spanish, German).
5. Additional Checks: Successful candidates will need to provide references and undergo an enhanced DBS check.
6. Safeguarding Training: All candidates will be required to complete safeguarding training before commencing the role.
