We are currently seeking a compassionate and proactive SEND Teaching Assistant to support students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in a secondary school setting. Key Responsibilities Supporting Students Provide individualised support to students with SEND, adapting learning materials to meet their specific needs. Work one on one or in small groups to reinforce lesson content and develop students’ confidence. Assist students in developing essential life skills, promoting independence and self-esteem. Implement EHCP (Education, Health, and Care Plan) strategies and differentiated learning techniques. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, ensuring students feel supported and valued. Supporting Teachers Assist with the preparation of tailored learning resources and activities. Support the teacher in managing behaviour effectively, using positive reinforcement techniques. Provide regular feedback on students' progress, identifying areas where additional support may be required. Help set up and maintain a structured, accessible, and engaging classroom environment. Work collaboratively with SENCOs, teachers, and external specialists to ensure the best outcomes for students.
