Job Title: Team Leader, Children's Home
Location: Colne, Lancashire
Salary: £37,000 DOE including £70.47 per sleep-in with an average of 11 per month
Service: Children’s Residential Care Home
Service Users: YP with various needs; EBD, CSE, CCE
Qualifications: Level 3 Diploma in Residential Child Care or Level 4 Children, Young People & Families Practitioner (Residential Pathway)
Experience: At least 1 years’ experience relevant to residential care in the last 5 years
Employment Type: Full Time/ Permanent

The home takes EBD Referrals and the YPs are 6 to 17 on Admission and the referrals are deemed to be low to medium risk.
This role specialises in supporting Children and Young People who have suffered early life trauma, neglect, or abuse and may display challenging behaviours.

An established company that is growing, offering various children's services such as Family Support, Children's Homes for LD and EBD, and Supported Living for Care Leavers. Their service covers the Midlands and North of England.
Who we are looking for...
* Ensuring shifts are planned with Residential Support Workers
* To ensure that all risks are safely managed in line with the company policies and procedures
* To communicate effectively with the team regarding the plans for the day
* To provide reports and documentation that reflect the progress of the young person, using our paperless systems and tools
* To review the young people's care plans and other associated documentation
Other qualities you will require...
* To provide positive parenting
* Exceptional communication skills
* Sound working knowledge of current legislation e.g., Children's Homes Regulations 2015 (including quality standards)
* Open-minded and empathetic in a calm and professional manner
The non-negotiables...
* Must have a full manual driving licence
* Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare or equivalent
* Willingness to participate in further continuing professional development to support the needs of our young people
* A clear passion and desire to support children and young people
* Be an active member of the team and committed to working in unison
