Our infrastructure team brings its design, build and refurbishment expertise to complex projects across the country. We form strong partnerships with clients and communities to deliver major infrastructure improvements.
We are now looking for a Project Commercial Director to join our Infrastructure team and to have commercial responsibility for an offshore windfarm project in Scotland.
You'll:
* Be responsible for all aspects of the commercial, procurement and risk management functions to ensure the successful financial outcome of the project.
* Develop individuals and teams to their full potential ensuring that we have the capability and capacity to maintain commercial, procurement and risk control on the project to meet future needs.
* Report on projects financial position against budget and other financial targets and associated risk profile.
* Proactively manage commercial position on projects to outperform targets.
* Provide commercial advice and management for the management of change on the project.
* Liaise with Skanska Legal Department on all matters associated with contract agreement and change post award.
* Liaise with departments including legal to manage formal dispute resolution process and ensure any significant claims are managed in accordance with company procedures.
* Implement best practice in commercial procedures to ensure the effective management of the contract.
* Ensure compliance with the company’s policies, procedures, the Skanska Code of Conduct and any issues relating to Health, Safety and the Environment.
* Have an awareness of the sustainability and the social agenda and how this needs to be proactively managed.
* Excellent inclusion and collaborative leadership skills.
* A comprehensive level of commercial experience within a tier one contractor.
* Experience in leading and successfully delivering infrastructure construction projects in excess of £100 million.
* BSc in Quantity Surveying or relevant, demonstrable experience.
* Member of RICS, ICES or ICE, preferably a Fellow or the desire to join.
* Excellent working knowledge of contract conditions/law.
* Clear thinker who copes well under pressure.
