Job Title: Health and Safety Advisor
Regional Health & Safety Advisor sought for the Severn Trent framework. Responsibilities include day-to-day health and safety duties, contributing to the regional safety strategy, and supporting project teams with health and safety compliance.
Salary:
£40,000 - £50,000 + Benefits package
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide support to project teams to ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and best practices.
2. Conduct systematic audits and inspections of construction sites to verify compliance with legislative requirements.
3. Monitor the resolution of health and safety issues and investigate accidents/incidents.
4. Assist with risk assessments, identification of control measures, and development of safety-related documentation.
5. Liaise with clients, HSE Inspectors, and external assessors to maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
About You:
1. Extensive experience in health and safety practice within the construction industry.
2. Knowledge of current and pending HSE Directives, UK statutory law, CDM Regulations, and good construction practice.
3. Familiarity with ISO 45001 management systems and formal qualifications in Occupational Safety and Health (e.g., NEBOSH Construction Certificate).
4. CSCS card or affiliated scheme (SHEA Water) is required.
