As a Motion Designer and Video Editor you will be working within the creative video team in a pre and post-production capacity. You will work on a variety of projects, including organising footage shot by the video team, editing corporate and commercial video in adobe Premier Pro and utilising Adobe After Effects to integrate motion graphics and typography creating stylish and ground-breaking content. Along with the ability to create animations using vectors, you will create videos in a single bound and you will work on creating amendments to videos and producing social assets. You will be working as an integral part of the video team, taking the lead from the video producers and head of production to create outstanding content. You must have a positive 'can do’ attitude and the ability to work quickly under pressure, without compromising on attention to detail. You will work with video producers and the wider team to create the best possible content. This role is a full time office based role. Duties & Responsibilities of the Motion Graphics Designer and Video Editor : Design and create cutting-edge motion graphics and videos for a variety of platforms and purposes. Edit and assemble footage into polished video content that meets clients' specified needs. Utilise software tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects to integrate motion graphics and colour grade video projects to an industry standard. Create storyboards and develop ideas for scenes and scenarios for shoots, working collaboratively with video producers to produce outstanding pitch videos. Communicate to the video team on shots required for an edit. Create original templates for campaigns using Adobe After Effects and lead the way in the design of dynamic typography. Selecting relevant stock footage that fits the script and brief. Ensure the smooth running of assigned large campaign rollouts. Turning brochures, E-shots and other printed design into motion graphics and video content. Produce social assets using Adobe After Effects and Premiere, both from scratch and from edits of longer video content. Select relevant soundtracks for videos and animations. Ensure videos are complete with purchased stock when downloads are enabled. Working on amendments to videos and animations. Ingest and organise footage shot by the video team. Ensure output is always of the best possible quality. Complete tasks and video projects in the time given. Ensure effective and cost-efficient file and document management on both the video server and studio server. Successfully communicate with the design team on file types for smooth running across disciplines (studios). Have up-to-date in-depth knowledge of existing filmed footage and stock footage to reuse where appropriate. As part of the production team, filming and photography on location or on site maybe required at times. Oversee projects from start to finish. Keeping up to date with the latest video production hardware and software is essential. Update administration systems as required and promote good housekeeping, including archiving old files and updating client details. Induct new video team members in After Effects, Premiere, Motion Graphics templates, file systems and oversee them within their first few weeks of focus. What you will need to succeed as Motion Graphics Designer and Video Editor : A degree in Film, Video, Animation and/or Digital Design is essential. Previous commercial/corporate editing experience is essential, and examples of relevant work in a portfolio and/or showreel should be included with your application. Previous agency experience is highly desirable. A strong knowledge of the wider Adobe Creative Cloud suite is advantageous. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams. A full and comprehensive understanding of Adobe creative cloud, including Premiere Pro, Media Encoder, Illustrator, InDesign and Audition. A broad and specialised knowledge in After Effects is essential. A comprehensive understanding of post-production workflows in an agency setting is highly desirable. Solid understanding of graphic design, typography, animation and general design skills. As a motion graphics designer and video editor, colour grading is a basic must have skill. Strong interpersonal skills, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong writing, grammatical and proofing skills. A genuine passion for film, video editing and post-production. An awareness of, and interest in, trends in video usage across commercials, social media, and digital advertising.
